“Miss Swan, pleasure to see you again,” he says jovially. He reminds me of the “Soup Nazi” on Seinfeld, and I cough into the crook of my arm to cover my laugh. He’s tall and lean, with a head of thick black hair and a thick mustache. It’s worse than Charlie’s.

“Hello Dr. Garner,” Bella responds shyly. “This is my boyfriend, Edward Cullen.”

I step forward and shake his hand as he eyes me cautiously with a nod.

Yes, I’m the asshole that knocked her. Can we get on with it?

“So, I hear congratulations are in order?” He smiles warmly at Bella.

She flushes again, biting her bottom lip with a small smile and nods.
